Default About to buy, please help

I'm about to purchase a 2006 CBR f4i with 9k. I'm selling a 2001 Ninja ZX-6R. My question is this: I know the f4i is considered a sport/tour, but I'm not really interested in sitting straight up. Can you lean forward on the f4i similar to that of the ZX-6R? Any help is appreciated.

We all have different body dimentions, one may be able to lay atop the tank another may not.. hard to say..
Personally, with a secure tank bag to lay on top, I can lay on top of the CBR F4i's tank for hours.

I'm 5'11 and I feel like I'm sitting aggressively on the f4i *when I want to ride more aggressively* Which is what I love about it. I can sit back on the seat and put the ***** of my feet on the rearsets and then I'm leaning forward and can flick the bike around and lift my butt up in turns or lay down on the highway, BUT when I want to just cruise around or have long rides on the highway I'll sit duck footed on the rearsets with my weiny on the gas tank and it's more comfortable but not as flickable and agile.

For me this is the best of both worlds, I'm so happy that I can take this bike cross country if I want to but ride aggressively too. This is my first street bike "dirt only before my f4i" so keep that in mind, but I LOVE my f4i. She's very good to me, and I better not ever hear you call my sweet girl a sport-touring bike again. She's a damn sexy sportbike who will take me on long cruises if I ask her to.

Sport Touring:

My baby girl (before she got sexier with the undertail):

Why buying an F4i if you want to lean forward? Get a 600RR instead

Just go look at it and sit on it. You don't have to buy it if you don't like it ...hopefully lol

If I were you I woudn't get the '06 f4i. The banana seat is ugly imo and I passed up several of them before I found my baby.

You really think the banana seat is ugly? I have such a limited budget and my wife will only be on board with this purchase for so long...

Yes, it's ugly IMO too. Some people like the look though. It's up to you to like it or not. If you plan on riding 2 up, the banana seat will be more functional.

I hope your "limited budget" has some room for some immediate repairs and maintenance it will surely need to make it safe to ride. Used bikes are rarely perfect and ready to ride, despite what the sellers say.

Don't let a seat keep you from buying a bike. If the bike is mechanically sound, you like it and it fits your budget, buy it. You can always worry about the seat later. That's just my 2 cents.
