Hey guys 3 weeks later and I finall got my bike up and running again!!!! It started out to be one project and turned into others!!
SO what I have done

Powder coated orange rims
Front & Rear Brake Calipers off the 929!!! ( Did not change MC or upgrade to SS lines)
Polished Front rear sets
Painted Passenger rear sets
Repsol Decal kit
Changed rider pegs to slash cut
Thinks thats about it!!!

For anyone else who wants to powder coat rims it is an easy complicated process!!!

Rotors, tires, seals, bearings, all must come off! GET NEW BEARINGS and SEALS!!!

Have a shop do it if you have benjamins or dont have the right tools!!! If you can punch the bearings out, you a blow torch and heat the inner parts by the bearing. Putting the bearings back and mounting tires should take no longer then several hours.... really... 30 mintues to bearings back in....I paid to have them put in because like i said right tool for the right job! And they are a pain in the ***!

As for the 929 Clipers ! I have noticed a big difference in breaking power!!! Feels more firm then stock! Good decent priced upgrade!!

Does anyone know if the fittings are the same on the f4i, 929,rc51 etc?

Basically, I'm looking to get the 929 calipers and stainless lines but might not be able to get the master cylinder. So I would still get a stainless line kit for an f4i? I'm assuming the only difference is length.

I'd like to know that as well. Will brake pads for an f4i fit on the 929 calipers?

I can't vouch for anything else, but my Galfer F4i lines have a lot of slack that I wouldn't think it would be an issue. As far as brakes pads, I'm sure you can check part#'s by going to parts websites and comparing. I'veseen other theads where people say that the calipers are the same just more bling.

Dont know what you mean by fittings! But if you are talking about the calipers mounting up to the forks, then they will with out any modification.

One thing I didnt mention is that the rear brake caliper is different from the f4i's! They switched the drain plug side on the caliper v. where the brake line hose comes in! So you have to take the rear caliper apart and switch the postions of the two ends on the cable! It is easier then I make it sound sorry!

As for the brake pads!!! The Answer is yes!!! My Galfer pads from my stock calipers fit right in the f/r calipers!!!

As I have been riding and pushing !! This was a good mod! Brakes are firm and there! Grabon commandthe stopping power is so much better! Just becareful and get use to it!

As forks....maybe... I wanna ride...maybe next winter I may do it!!! Might got to 1000rr instead of 929 fronts forks!

I got my Fireblade MC and calipers and Steel lines. Will probably mount in a week or 2 along with my major project evolution (just some maint and aestetics).

Where can I find pics of the MC upgrade... I know there were some on here.

Sorry to bring thos thread back to life, but I am very curious id the 929 calipers ACTUALLY do brake better than the stock F4i calipers, or if its just in your head that they are better since they came off a faster bike? I would think the calipers would perform the same, but the braking improvelents would be made up in the different MC. Maybe guys with 929 calipers on their F4i think it brakes better because they have fresh fluid and the brake lines bleed free of tiny air bubbles?

If there is actually proven facts that the 929 calipers brake better than the F4i ones's I would really like to do this swap. It seems to me that 99% of people that do this mod do it for the "bling" factor
