So I'm thinking of buying a f4i from a guy that I know that says he put 2008 600rr or 1000rr fairings on it. He's gonna show it to me next week, but I'm just wondering if this is possible? And if so, would it require any modifications or damage to the bike itself? Thanks.

 

yeah it would need modding to put those on, and i dont believe it without some pics. no offense to you, or anyone

 

It's either just painted, or he's an idiot. It's like putting the triangle peg in the round hole. You think it will fit for about half a second, then you realise there's not a chance. lol.

 

Yeah, right? That's exactly what I was thinking, but he swears by it. I'll post pics up if i see them.

 

I've seen R6 fairings on a F4i before so Im sure its possable but just like when I saw the r6 fairings I have to ask WTF and why the hell would you do that?

 

I"ve gotta see this.... I"ve heard of the R6 fiarings on a f4i...but it was a custom made R6 upper made for the F4i....I believe a member on here was making them

 

There also used to be a member on here that had an F2 with R6 upper fairing, F2 lowers, and tail was Ducati 916 with underseat exhaust. It was awesome.

 

honestly putting 600rr fairings or even 1k rr fairings would be a easy task... but it would require some custom work...

 

600rr tail: yes
600rr fairings: lots of modding and will probably look stupid when done because its a totally different design..

think about it this way sick

all you would have to do is this...

take ur 600rr fairings... fill the existing holes... and drill new ones to match up with a few from each side on the f4 bolt pattern...

and throw em on there

running frame sliders would help alot too... personally i think itd be cake...
