Question 55w HID's?

I'm highly considering snagging some HID's, but am torn about what wattage to go with.

The only thing that is holding me back about 55w is that they are a lot hotter, and the last thing I want is to melt my housing.

I've ran 35w in my car with no problems, but since I'm on the bike, I want to be as visible as possible, and not to mention have as much visibility as possible.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Kyle

Stick with 35w, the vision and how noticeable you are will be just fine.

I've never dealt with HID's on a bike, so I appreciate the input.

35w it is, then.

With 35w, m HID makes the day out of a night...
It provides waaaaay better visibility then with standard bulb...
And my sister didn't like the amount of a shine in her rear mirror once I rode behind her car... I could just imagine what would 55w do... People would need a sun glasses... Or maybe a welding glasses...

They should be here Monday, and I can't wait to get 'em installed.

Especially once I fix the hi-beam problem, it'll be a win-win.
