There is no factory recommended service at 300 miles. If you are competent enough to do it yourself (it's pretty easy), I'd recommend changing the oil, then go ride it some more.

if you've been in he rain lube the chain with some maxima chain wax or some other o-ring friendly lube, otherwise keep ridin and change the oil and filter at 500 miles. use GN4 and an OEM filter.[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Bump that.

Step it up to the HP4.

I changed oil at 50 miles, 300, and switched to full synthetic at 500 miles and now use Mobil1 MX4T changed every 1500 miles.

Bike put down 100HP at the rear wheel and runs like a champ. Change early and often and do a "rough" break in period. Don't beat on it, but ride it like you are gonna ride it.

The "slow breakin" for 600 miles has been pretty much debunked, as has the myth about not using synthetic untill several thousand miles. Most breakin occurs in the first half hour of riding, so go up and down the rev range to load the rings and force them to break in, giving a better seal. Better seal equals more power and less contaminates blowing past the rings and into the case.

You no longer have to break in car motors, and you don't have to do it with bikes either. 25 years ago, maybe, but not today.

600 miles already. oh man, your machine is out-dated man. sell it quick before you will loose more money.
My bikes first owner did not touch the bike until 3k miles. Relax, everything is under control.

Hey pitbull, your bike looks nice. That is the best color scheme that f4i ever had.
