20k maintenance?

Default 20k maintenance?

What kind of maintenance should I be doing at 20,000 miles? I don't think the bike has had alot done to it. I have changed the oil, and plan on changing the air filter soon, and probably plugs. I also changed the clutch, but that's just because I didn't like the feel of the stock one. Anything else I should be checking?

If you still have your manual check in there for the changes that need to be made, there is a maintenance schedule that you should be able to follow

well...have you done everything that was supposed to at 16k, or has the previous owner done it?

you may also want to consider bleeding the brakes, coolant flush and change fork fluid.

Ususally the Cam Chain Tensioner should be done right about now. How is your chain looking? They usually only last about 20k. Definitely bleed the breaks. You will notice a huge difference.

how do you bleed the brakes. my bike has 21k now and i notice that when i use the frontbrakes it kinda "lunges" i guess.
like it brakes harder, then softer, repetedly. u know what i mean?

so maybe i need to bleed my brakes

The chain is the next on my list. It definitely needs replaced, and so do the sprockets. I will have to bleed the brakes. I have done most of the maintenance that should be done by now. I need to replace the spark plugs and the air filter to get it current. How can you tell if the CCT needs replaced?

be sounding like warp rotor or pad issues or glazed areas on the rotor to me mang.

don't forget...valve check at 16K...

yes, change out stock cctl as well.

Is it hard to change the CCT? And do I have to take it to a mechanic to do a valve check, or can I do that on my own?
