New to the forum -- I recently bought a 2006 F4i 11,xxx on the odometer. Bike is completely stock and quite clean overall. My question is, with regards to the stock stator cover, did some 2006s come with a stator cover without the Honda logo etched in? I ask because my stator cover looks factor fresh except that there is no Honda logo on it. It in no way appears resurfaced or otherwise repaired and in any event I believe a new one is about $75 or $80 so I can' t figure why someone would attempt to repair such a piece.

I previously owned a 2001 F4i (sold it back in 2005) and that one had the Honda logo etched into the stator cover and all the other 2006s I've seen also have the logo on the cover... so what gives? do any aftermarket companies make a "stock" replacement without the logo?

I know this sounds minor but it's really bugging me so I thought I'd see if anyone else has some insight. Appreciate any responses

I just had mine replaced after laying it down and got it stock, def came with a Honda label etched in it.

 

i replaced mine with an oem one. had honda logo.
