I am looking to buy a f4i for my wife. I was doing some research and was wondering what a fair price is for that bike (new from the dealer)? If possible in CA.

um...i made the mistake of doing that..my girl bought an 04 f4i for 7700 just becauseit was a left over 04..which is the same exact thing as an 05

 

I paid 8800 OTD after all fees and the 5 year unlimited mile coverage for my new 05 in Texas, hope that helps

 

I paid 11k, after, gap insurance, wheel and tire warrantee (5 years) 5 year extended warrantee, poo poo kachoo.....

 

Well In my opinion i wouldn't do that. I don't think i would be keeping my bike for more then 3-4 years anyway. That warranty is just worthless....But to each is own

 

Why wouldn't you be keeping the bike? I don't know if I'll be ready to part with mine in 3-4 years.

 

i wouldn't keep the bike either...expect if it was gonna be a stunt-boy..other than that i woukd get tired of it and go for the better or bigger cc bikes

 

im in md and bought a 2005 2 weeks ago for 8 grand out the door. Called about 5 dealerships in area telling them i was quoted $8000 for a 2004, and got lucky and manager said i could get a 2005 for 8 gs. Not a tough decision...i would ask to talk to managers when wheeling and dealing!!

 

Easier to sell anything in a private transaction w/ a warranty on the machine.

 

I actually got a screaming deal on mine yesterday... keeping in mind that I am in AZ but dealer wanted $8695 to start and I ended up walking out the door for $8695 [sm=happy046.gif]
