I paid $2800 of an 02 F4i. no mechanical problems, very little cosmetics, all stock w 35,000 commuter miles. So I believe that if you do the right research, you can find the bike you want for the price you want.

I just bought an 06 with 1,113 miles and paid $5,500. I know it was a bit on the high side but the bike is in perfect condition (good tires...etc) and you can tell it hasn't been stunted. Aside from this bike all the other F4i's I looked at were cheaper but had some sort of major abuse. I don't know mind paying a little more for quality and peace of mind.

Good luck with the bike.
