1990 VFR Front Wheel For My F4i Mock Up
Aweasol said I needed a newer vfr wheel so I was like crap...
So I decided to mock it up and see how it all goes. Did run into a little problem since I ordered a 1990 vfr… Buuuuuuuut since It came with the axle and axle spacers as well as disks, it all works out because as long as I use the stock f4i axle with the vfr spavers everything lines up… I will need like two washers though to space my calipers in a little bit… not much though… reason I ran into the problem is because the old vfr rims is a smaller rim rather than a 17” lol so ill have staggered rims… but ill try and up the front tire size so you wont even be able to tell http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...ce064667c6.jpg http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...a111bf92a2.jpg http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...c1b16d8a18.jpg http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...1fd5440430.jpg http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...f8a5abed44.jpg http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...2f0d98623c.jpg in this pic u can see where im using the washers for spacers... i only need two small ones for each bolt... im going to be purchasing some nice stainless ones to prevent rust... |
lemme know what you guys think... i think between the new wheel as well as the different rotors... i like it more than the f4i set up.... should look good once its all stripped and painted
|
lol no i just hope i never have to replace the disks
|
dude no! youre gonna want a 17 in rim, that might be like super hard to find a tire for that one-but i dunno i havent looked, does that place offer returns?
|
why do you say that van? And na it shouldn't be hard to find tires...
as for returns prolly not it was a individual off ebay... I'm not really to worried about it. It won't really change anything.. Or at least I don't thhink so |
i only say that bc of the tires i havent looked for that size tho BUT what you could do-that would look sick is...
do a 190 50 17 rear, and then a 120 70 (16.5-or whatever size front it is) and then lower it a little in the front and a little in the back too, i might have a linkage to do that also that would make the bike look pretty cool i think itll make your rotors look bigger too-which will be nice |
how would one go about lowering the front a little? if say i get bored one weekend
EDIT: Never mind lol... Van's a life saver |
As was said above, it is much harder to find tires in a 16. I had a 86 VFR that I sold last year and had one hell of a time finding a decent tire for a decent price. I love having a 17 now. Soo much easier and cheaper to get tires.

well where did u usually end up finding them... i ask bc im going to have a hard time re-selling the rim so ill prolly just keep it...
