RE: 190 rear tire on an f4i????
the real question you and many other riders need to ask before this question is why do you want a bigger tire ? what type of riding do you do ? the size of your tire will affect this and can either help or hinder your performance. some like it purely for the asthetic appeal.

RE: 190 rear tire on an f4i????
The simple answer is yes it will fit.
What you should know is that it's not going to benefit you though, unless you're drag racing. I've posted the details about the tire sizings in other threads and it has been brought up many times. A simple search on doing the swap will net you many results all basically telling you not to do the 190 if you actually like to ride twisties.
EDIT: Here's another post back in april about it that I answered:

EDIT#2: Here's actual researched and tested information stating the nearly the same as I have in the last link:

The example is of a 190/50 and you are correct that a 190/50 will not handle like a 180/55 but a 190/55 will handle similiarly.

RE: 190 rear tire on an f4i????
the 180/55 tire is a taller tire than the 190/50 & aids in the overall handling of the bike making it turn-in easier. The 190/55 is an even better choice as it gives you an even taller diameter so you get all the benefits & then some of the 180/55 plus way more rubber on the ground when leaned over (when compared to the 180/55). The downside is that the 190/55 tires are more expensive sometimes WAY more expensive than their 180/55 siblings & the taller the tire is the more you will have to adjust your bikes suspension geometry to make it handle properly (i.e. hold a line without putting pressure on the bars, not want to stand up on the brakes & not run wide on corner exit etc...)

RE: 190 rear tire on an f4i????
if the tire is not meant for the rim then thats a whole nother story....and from what I have been reading, the f4i rims are 5.5 and the 190 tires are made for 6.0 rims.....
so maybe the 190 isnt the best option but to say that a 190/55 isnt as good or better than a 180/55 is wrong.

all modern 600's have a 5.5 rear wheel and most of the GSX-R 750s I seen do (which is where I see this swap done most). I also not seen nor heard of anyone putting a 180/55 on so I have no experience with it.

I have never had a 600 myself before the one I just bought a few days ago...my experience comes from the 1000 I used to own. on those the 190/50 came stock for the 2003 GSXR 1000. The big debate was whether to put a 180/55 on it or keep the 190/50.......then when they came out with the 190/55 that was the best of both worlds.
So as far as the f4i's I am really unaware, but I personally wont be going to a 190/55 or any 190 period. The bike was setup for a 180 tire and as stated the 190 wasnt meant for a 5.5 rim. So for the best thing on a 5.5 the 180/55 will be it.
