Don't know if it fits, but why do you need a 190? Wider tyres make the bike slower to turn-in unless you have monstrous engine power (1000RR, hayabusa and the like), in which case you need all the grip you can get. 50 profile will probably be a pain in the *** if ridden on the street and therefore best left for the track. It will also make your speedo mis-read slightly.

or would a 190/55 fit be better? Probably best to just stick with the 180?

I have a 190/50 pp 2ct on my 01 f4i and i can truely say that it still handles like a dream. The handling characteristics are still very familiar and the lower profile has no noticable differences and thus is not a pain in the ***. I'd say if wanna give it a try why not, its not like tires last forever.

why spend more money on a tire that has " no notibles differences" ??? save the money and get the 180

i guess i should have said "no noticable ill effects". really, what is the difference in price, like $20-$30?? I liked the look of a slightly wider tire and from what i read when i switched i got a lot of the same answers. so i decided to give it a try anyway, and i'm happy with the result.

why do people put aftermarket mirrors, blinkers, fender eliminateors, etc. on?? because they like the look, not because it has any sort of a performance benefit. so again i say if you wanna wider tire, then give er.

In my opinion, the bike comes with a 180 from the factory, meaning the bike was built to handle best with the 180. I'd say leave it at that and learn how to ride the bike better
