Default 180 on kickstand!

I was watching this movie and this guy tilted his entire bike off the ground by leaning it onto the kickstand, and using the kickstand as a pivot to turn the bike in a 180 motion. Well i thought it was the coolest thing ever. So i tried it and it is actually pretty simple. But the thing i was wondering was would this be bad for the kickstand to put all the weight on it, or does it really matter. thanks

I personally wouldn't do it. Sounds like alot of weight on the kick stand for me. Plus if that kick stand kicks out the bike is going to the ground. I will push it instead its not that hard.

Doesn't hurt the kickstand. I've been doing it pretty much ever since I started riding and I've never had a problem. Most people I know can't even get lean it onto the kickstand.

Everybody I ride with does that. I don't. I don't have the *****, I'm too afraid it will tip on me, but I have never really tried.

Ya.. it's easy.. and even if the kickstand were to go out.. the bike wouldn't fall to the ground.. the back tire would come down.. and i use my body to support the turn.. so it would be cool. Anyhoo, the way to do it is maybe use the right passenger peg to lift up the rear tire... so the bike is balancing on the front tire and kickstand. then take it from the triple and lift a lil bit.. while keeping your leg/hip against the tank.. and then pull w/ your left hand. ... spin spin spin there ya go

I lube and clean my chain by putting a piece of wood under the right side foot peg after pulling the bike over onto the kickstand. Have some special pieces of wood just for that.

you know hondas are the BEST bikes to do that with right?
Do it with a GIXXER, or KAWI, they are so heavy nose and rear the bike falls forward...

With my 6rr, you can balance the bike on the kickstand and use 1 finger to turn it around hella fast... IVE DONE IT, NO JOKE...

Ppl **** themselves when they see that with 1 finger and perfect balance point...

*I do the same chain cleaning thing, but I put a chair on the left of it with a pillow and balance it like that works great!!!

Yea i finally mastered the 180 on the kickstand, alot of my friends are jealous because either they cant do it with their bike, or their too afraid. It actually really fun, and people are amazed when you do it. I still dont understand what you mean by the chain cleaning, You lean the bike on its kickstand and clean the chain? why not just buy a rear swingarm stand? thanks

it's not true...it is bad for the stand.

stick your bike up against one that the rider doesn't spin on the stand, and you'll see the difference.

as far as the stand, honda's are pretty beefy. yamahas have this skinny stand but really easy to spin with.
