175-200lb rider suspension setup
Guys what do think would be a good starting point for a rider in this weight range?
I am personally 6' and 190lbs and have just recently set up my suspension to these specs for a starting point. (see link below) Do you see any discrepancies as for the reccomendation?
I ride an 01 F4i with Pirelli Diablos

RE: 175-200lb rider suspension setup
I am about your size and I just changed to these settings. It is way better than the factory setting. Much stiffer but in a good way. You can corner better and when you put on the brakes your bike dosen't do a nose dive. The only difference is my rear preload is set on 4. It's a good starting point. You may need to tweek alittle. Hope this helps.

To reset your suspension back to stock do the following;
Front Suspension - Rebound Damping - 1. Turn the rebound damping adjusterclockwise untill it will no longer turn ( lightly seats).This is full hard setting. 2. Turn the adjuster counterclockwise approximately 1 3/4 turns so that the punch mark on the adjuster aligns with the reference mark. This is the standard position.
Front Suspension - Left and Right Lower Fork - Same as above except you turn 1 1/4 turns counterclockwise, not 1 3/4.
Rear Suspension Spring Pre-load - There are 7 positions; 1 and 2 for a light load and a smooth road condition, 3 is the standard position, 4 to 7is for when the motorcycle is more heavily loaded ( also increases spring pre-load for stiffer rear suspension )
Rear Suspension - Rebound Damping - Same as front suspension except you turn 1 1/2 turns counterclockwise.Punch mark should align with reference punch mark for standard positions.
I hope this helps, If not just read your owners manual, It's all in there.
