15/48 = -1/+2 which is a common upgrade from stock. Many members around here have that set-up. What would you like to know?

If you want a bit more torque without much loss in top end maybe you should consider -1 (15/46) or just +2 rear (16/48)

The -1/+2 lowers your max speed to approx 135 MPH. Do you ever plan on going that fast? Are you worried that you won't be able to do 157 MPH or whatever you are capable of with stock sprockets? I'd say if you aren't going to be doing track days you most likely will never notice the top end loss, and even if you do the loss is negligible in comparison to the added ease of lightening the front end!
EDIT: Someone recently posted a link to a speddhealer type of device that was selling for $70! Not sure on the quality, I didn't investigate it much because I already have a speedohealer. |
