I don't have an 06 but I have been in alot of Honda dealerships lately, and they all vary, I have seen the Michellin 2CT's, the Pilot Powers and Dunlops on the new 06 F4i's and I saw some Pirelli's on the RR's

i know that this question(s) will go off topic; so ill say sorry now. however, why do they vary in the tire selection? all those bikes dont come from the same factory in Japan, is that the case? every production plant has its own contracts with tire dealers?or is it bike dealers' requests?

I talked to my local bike dealer recently about this very questionandit is just like Iexperienced when I sold cars for awhile. Thevehicle manufacturers will make deals with tire manufacturers all along the production of the model. So you may get a car/bike with the same tires for several years (in the the caseofFord/Firestone 100 years)or they may change every few months. It mearly is a business decision between manufacturers.
