Default 06 F4i Emissions Question

Hi everyone, just picked up my 06 F4i. The dealer said that all the 06 F4i come with the emmissions crap. Catalitic converter, o2 sensor. I'm thinking of putting on a Yoshimura RS3 slip on, the California one. Would this improve performance somewhat by eliminating the cat converter that is in the pipe on the stock exhaust?

If anyone can think of a better slip on for the F4i than Yoshi, I'm all ears!!

Thank You

DL

akra...arata, sato, etc...are all better than yosh...oh yea and morwaki or whatever...mawfaki...
removing that stuff will not improve performance, but will make your bike lighter, that's about it.
getting rid of the o2 sensor will just decrease the mileage of your F4i.

Default RE: 06 F4i Emissions Question

I just installed my Yoshimura TRS (CA Version) and it sounds like it is RIPPING THE AIR OPEN!![sm=Awwww.gif]

It also had the oxygen sensor connection so I didn't have to mess around with that.[sm=goodidea.gif]

BTW, the slip-on mufflers don't remove the CAT. They replace the factory slip-on muffler. Full exhuast kits remove the CAT.

All mufflers are pretty much the same thing. They are straight throught and sound awesome. Don't get too caught up in graphs and percentages and stuff.[sm=bangbang.gif]
