Default 05 fairing

Hey guys. So it would appear as though I dropped my bike again T_T on the weekend. Did some nice damage to the fairings, might try to fix them with fibreglass and what not, but I was just wondering if anyone here has tried the ebay fairings from china. If so, do they fit good? Any complaints?

Thanks a lot guys ^.^

No they dont fit good. You'll have to enlarge the holes and fight them into position. You can get used oems for pretty cheap, maybe even find the right color. Also do a search for plastic welding, haven't tried it yet (knock on wood) but heard its better than resin repairs, as long as you have all the pieces. If you decide to repair them, then use a "flexible bumper patch" designed for ABS bumper covers on the outter (visable) surface and the fiberglass on the inner.

cool thanks man. I am still undecided. I found out about nicecycle.com and a lot of people on here seemed to have gotten some from them and they seem to be really good quality. so I guess i'll stay away from ebay xD always liked the unique look of aftermarket

If you did a simple search you could have come up with probably over 100 threads on this subject. The ebay fairing sets are a hit or miss some fit decent others dont.
