04 primer/paint help needed!
so i have an 04 f4i with the red/black paint scheme and i'm in the process of repainting a fairing red, as far as i know colorrite is the only way to match it, does anyone know what color the base is on the bike, i know colorrite has it but i dont care to pay the 100 bucks for it. Also would a 1/2 pint be enough to paint both side fairings once it is mixed? thanks

Are you trying to match new paint to an already painted and faded panel? If so, going with the OEM paint codes wont match. You need to take the piece up to a local paint store (Sherwin Williams) and have it scanned and computer matched. And they'll tell you exactally what and how much you need.

If so, 1/2 pint is more than enough to paint the whole bike!

Sure I can go back and tell them, and play the back and forth game, but I would rather do things once. Colorite it is for me :) |

Unfortunately, the paint still didn't matched :mad: Sure I can go back and tell them, and play the back and forth game, but I would rather do things once. Colorite it is for me :) |
does anyone know what i need other than the red paint? what color primer and do i need a certain base color?
