I'm interested in the swap too. What all mods did you have to do for it to work? Will the F4i wheel still work? I'm doing the RR tail swap so I want to do the swingarm to match, and just make the bike look much more "aggressive" since I am going back full fairing.

Basically I used the 05/06 Swingy, with the 04 1000rr Shocks, and the 05/06 Rear rim and just sold my F4i rim to offset the cost. 05 rear brake caliper from a 600rr too. Didn't take long at all. Maybe 3 hours at most since it was my first time.

Would the 600rr shock work? It would be easier for me to buy it all in once piece, as motorcycle parts are scarce here in Alaska. I could buy everything from the swingarm mount back as a whole easier than sourcing parts individually.

And Conrice, fight it all you want, I just wanna go back FF. lol

Haha just having some fun. Are you going to do all rr fairings? Or a combo of F4i and rr?

50/50. Going F4i front, RR rear (tail, seats, swingarm etc.) I love the look of the fronts of F4is, but the rear just looks much better on the RR as its more aggressive and sporty looking.

Something like this. Just different color scheme.

Im thinking this color though. I wanna mock it up with the blue frame, if I like it I'll keep it. If not, back to a black frame and polished wheels.

What model year of RR was used in alteration?
RR stretcher is fastened to a frame of F4i without alterations 1:!. Holes coincided?

05-06 tail for sure (don't know about fitment but I'd guess not). But the lines of that bike do look great together. The RR swinger looks much better, IMO (and skee, its going to look killer with your '54 front end!)

What sort of suspension links does the F4i use?

If it uses triangles, you can make your own and have any geometry you want if you don't want it lowered (because of the shock)

Was any machining or custom work need3d to make this work? Would my F4i wheel still work?
