FastCRX - Keep on searching... plenty of threads describing installation techniques and level of difficulty.
Check my photo album for an example of the LSL sliders. Different look than the Vortex, but you have to remove the 'shroom in order to take the plastics off (only downside).

Thanks.
What I am saying is that when you look at the Vortex sliders, they are straight (constant diameter) cylinders. When you remove the plastics, they'll pass right over the sliders. With the LSL sliders, you drill a 1.25" hole for the spacer (that bolts to the frame/engine mount) and the mushroom end is actually about twice that size. Therefore to take your fairings off, you'll have to remove the slider as well - unless you want a 3 inch hole in your plastics! Not a big deal, just one extra step but I figured I would give you the pros and cons of these. They are somewhat costly too... think it was about $105 shipped to my door. However I still would highly recommend them to anyone. They're really sturdy, have a different look than most people have on their bikes and they come in a ton of different colors.
OH and they get hot as hell after riding for a while. But that keeps people from coming up and saying "Hey I really like these... HOLY $HIT THEY'RE HOT!" All I say is "If you could keep your hands to yourself you wouldn't have 2nd degree burns wouldja!?!?"
