Ok, im new to the boards here and I have read alot of the D.I.Y. undertails, But i have not seen any for a 02' f4i. Has anyone done one and can give me some ideas on what to do it will be appreciated. Unfortunately, the stock rear fender has been removed from the *** who stole my bike. Now there is nothing there but air, license plate being held by the L-brackets bent, and my short staulk blinkers that he was nice enough to invest in for me. Please help if you can.

 

yeah im looking for a DIY too for the bike. it was a lot easier for my srad with L brackets. where do i relocate the keyhole?

 

If you look on Ebay there are kits that you can get, and it has a key hole already set up. But I did it the cheap way and just cut mine down with an angle grinder and moved my plate

I bought a piece of lexan at Home Depot yesterday for around $13.00. I may try to work on it this weekend.

Not sure exactly how he did it, but it looks good and it's not expensive.

Well, it would be to easy for me to do what stephens did!!! Of course I can't do that cause the guy who stole my bike, cut out the entire undertail, where the lock was and all. It goes all the way up to the taillights. I think the only way to do it is a customfit job, which takes time. I went out and bought some aluminum sheeting, and some bolts, washers, and locking nuts. I just hope it comes out ok. Any suggestion please let me know. Also i need to try to find a new lock for the passenger seat, he was nice enough of a guy to remove that for me also.
