Default 01 vs 04 Power differences

I own both a 2001 and a 2004 F4i and while the seating it different the power feels so much different. My 04 is snappy and quick to accelerate even in low rpm ranges the 01 on the other hand is slow to accelerate to the point that getting up to 60 takes much longer than the claimed 3.5 seconds I know there is not much different between them but I am seeking help with the 01 or atleast reassurance this is normal.

My biggest question (maybe only) - Are they both on the same sprocket size(s)?

How many miles has each done? When were the valves last checked if ever on the 01?
As you have said engine wise they are identical (if anything the 01 may have slightly different internals as it was the lead into the RR called the Sport in Europe). Any aftermarket mods to either?

Same sprockets on both bikes no mods but exhausts and the 01 has 24k miles and the 04 has 32k on the odometer and as for valves I have no idea on either because I haven’t owned them but a couple months.

In that case, start with the basics, good service (oil, oil and air filter, spark plugs, coolant, valves checked, brake fluid, fork oil etc.) this will give you a common starting point due to the fact that you have absolutely no history of the bikes. You can then assess from a known position. Get them back to as close to factory spec then go from there.
Lets see some pics.

Do compression test on both and compare.
Run through some PEA-based fuel-system cleaner.
Measure flow-rate of pump.
Measure all wiring for extra corrosion (resistance/ohms) and breaks.
Measure impedance of each coil's primary and secondary windings

I’m pretty sure the 01 has a blown head gasket it has white smoke from the tail pipe it also has a white smoke from the throttle bodies and the coolant is going somewhere that I can’t seem to find. Anyone have any videos on a head gasket replacement?
I did drop the bike but it wasn’t running it was on its side for a minute maybe I should run it more to see if it’s a result of that.

Best to use OEM factory service-manual.
Otherwise you'll end up with blown headgasket just like 01.

Engine block of my bike without head gasket sanding down block currently. Gasket didn’t appear blown but when stripped into individual layers middle gasket was corroded.
