01 F4i won't rev past 10,000rms
Hi everyone, I am new into bikes and a new owner of a 01 F4i.
I was riding it the other day and I couldn't go over 10,000rpms. It seemed to be hitting rev limiter, It did it when I was in 2nd and when I was in neutral.
My computers running pretty slow and its hard to search, if someone would help that would be great!
BTW heres a picture of it.

Hi, I bought my F4i Sport (split seat) from Swiss, and it had a power limitation at 35 hp. At that time, it couldn't rev more then 6000 - 6500 rpm. I searched the web and run into the German tread with "how to" remove the limitation, with pictures and all: http://forum.cbrforum.de/viewtopic.php?t=25982 Now, I asked them are the diffusers (plates with little holes) and cable limitator panel the only way it could be limited, and they all agreed - yes, no ECU modifications. But, when I removed the diffusers (and there was no cable limitator on my bike) it still can't rev more then 9000-9500. (not in the gear nor in neutral). She goes significantly better, but at the point when she should start pullin' like the turbo switched on - she needs to be shifted...) I didn't solve this issue yet, few people told me that it could have an electronic limiter, but I am a bit confused as I nowhere run in to such statement on the web... So - when (and if) if I figure it out - I'll let you know...

Just curious...you are new to bikes and you are hitting 10k in second....
that is a REAL quick way to get your self killed. I get to 75mph fast at 8k in second.
Why are you concerned with anything like that if you are not on the track.
Sorry to seem harsh and not have an answer. When I get home I'll check on it to see if there.
There are limiters 10k may be the top for second. 12.5k is the top for stock and 13.5k is top limit for HRC ecu mods. Of course the bike can rev higher, but why??

Well I just got the bike back to my house. For starters I was on a private road out at farm land, so theres no other cars. No animals to jump out because its just soil.
Yesterday I was at idle in my driveway I was just checking the bike out see if it could get past 10,000. It did! It hit 13 then I let off, I was just trying to get a feel for it. Then I tried it again and could only get to 10,000 twice. Then I stopped.
