whats a decent price for an 01 f4i with less than 8k miles.. red/white, needs tires soon...
the guy selling it seems like hes taken good care of it as he has 3 other bikes that he is rebuilding and a couple lil sports cars hes rebuilding also.
lemme know.. and how much are new tires for a decent pair front and rear?

edit** already has after market cam chain tensioner.. and i believe a slip on.. if that makes any diff.. is there a way to check and see if the clucth is good/bad without riding it? he said no test rides without cash in hand on his craigslist add.

well i checked the bike out a lil while ago... its been dropped thats for sure! ha has a F.E. kit on it.. the person who put it on sucked tho cuz i doesnt sit very flush.. 2 missing/broken bolts holding fairings on, rigth fairing where it says HONDA on the bottom a crak thru the A which was epoxied from behind.. front fender has a crack rigth around the fork tube.. APE cct, missing a mirror, and the tires are fawked! rear one is square ha and the front one.. ehh its wavy (what causes that?) frame looked good, no dents or unusual scratches.. i would probally put a new chain on it and sprockets since the orig chain was dry as a bone and i could see it kinking up.. if i pursue this bike some more ill prob offer him 4k since it needs new tires before i would ride it at any speed over 45mph. i would want to get a new right fairing.. and the front rim.. looked like one of the previous owners hit a curb or wheelied the bike and landed hard b/c i could see/feel a bend on the lip of the rim.. not major but i could see it. so probally 6-700 to fix everything to how i would like it and be safe.. and theres no point in paying 4500 and then spend 700 more when i could buy a nicer bike for about 5k... we will see.. ill try to low ball him and offer 3800.

i paid 5k for my 01 back in june of 2005. It had a ZG shield, corbin seats, kryptonite lock, new tires, two bro's pipe, SS brake lines, and a couple other things. It was mint condition, never been dropped.

If the bike is in great shape, needing new tires with just an aftermarket pipe, I'd offer him 4000.

Offer him 3500. I wouldn't pay much over that for a bike in the condition you described.

Im selling my 2001 silver/black F4i for $3500. NEVER been down, only seen rain 4 times. Kept IN my house all the time. I pretty much never get to ride anymore which is ok for me now since i've put 17,000 miles on her and now I have a baby. She is mint, new tires (less that a year with not even 500 miles on them) Someone please take this bike, she makes me sad to see her sitting in my basement. email me for pics. Looks new.
