What makes you want a steerin dampener?

I kind of want one on my bike as it's really squirrely with the raised rear suspension, and the new tapered bearings. However with any speed over 35, the thing becomes laser accurate in its tracking!

Safer to wheelie, so you dont get wobble when you drop it back down...

Swapping to tapered bearings changes the amount of preload you can put on your t-stem. Honda used ballbearings so that when you torque them down they help stabilize the steering. Tapered bearings are much freer so you need a steering damper. I have an M-toby one on my bike. 19 years old and still working great. You can still get them from France. Cheaper choice would be the Daytona/Shindy dampers available here.

Links or they don't exist!

Good info on the tapered bearings. I'm thinking a steering dampener would be nice!
