Default Sprockets conversion to 525 for F2 possible?

Aloha!

I've been reading on and off about chain kits and conversion to 520. I decided to have the best of both worlds, but I'm not sure it fits on my 1994 F2.

The idea is to convert to 525, just like the F3, using JT sprockets from here:
JT Sprockets: Catalogue

The configuration I'd like to try is one down, so 14/43.

Would these sprockets fit if I buy them?

Thanks in advance,

Well, you say just like the F3, but specifically, '97 - '98 F3, meaning, the F2 uses the exact same parts as the '95 - '96 F3, and I belive the only thing that changed is the newer F3 went to the 525 chain/sprockets, where the F2 and earlier F3 used 530... the dimensions are otherwise identical.

Anyway, I see no reason you couldn't mount those, as the only difference would be the width. If you want more peace of mind about it, just check the same catalogue listing for the F2, and '95 to '96 F3, and I think you'll see the dimensions are all the same:

Good luck - although if you're thinking of completely converting over everything on your F2 to make it an F3, you're probably better off buying an F3 :-)

Me, I'm trying to turn a Yamaha XS650 into a F2. :-)

If you're going 525 you may as well go with the standard conversion of 520. But thats just me.

Thanks for the advice, good luck achieving the F2 look.

I won't make it an F3. My sprockets are very worn out so I need to replace them. I've read 520 and specially the chains worn out even faster and my bike is for daily use so I'm happy to get a 525 conversion in this case.

The sizes and screws are identical from 91 to 98 so I will go for the JT sprockets of the newer F3 http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/model/4751

I will post pics when done!
