Splitting carb 1 and 2 and 3 and 4
Hello,
I'm going for a full rebuild on my carbs, which includes replacing the o rings on the breather hose attachments. I'm also going to ultrasonic clean my carbs, and I don't want the plastic pieces to go into the ultrasonic cleaner. So I started splitting my carbs. I successfully got the carbs in 2 pieces now, carbs 1 and 2 in 1 piece, and 3 and 4 in 1 piece, but how do I spit 1 and 2 from each other and 3 and 4? I did remove the 2 carburetor connecting bolts, but is there a 3rd one connecting 1 and 2 together? I don't really see one in the service manual.

they are kind of sealed together from age.
Where the long bolt runs that connects all 4 carbs, place something very thin between the carbs that are stuck together, like a putty knife. Start gently working it back and forth. That gap should start opening up. Because not to use too much pressure as it’s aluminum and will chip easily.
While you are doing all of this, take about x3 of the pictures that you think are needed. They will come in handy during the reassembly process.
