Default rebuilding the engine

Hey
i just got a 600 f2 last weekend as a project and have some questions. The PO snapped off one of the alternator cover bolts and so the bike started leaking oil, so i drained the oil. The bike hasnt been run in a while and so he also filled it up with coolant and now, the bike is leaking coolant out of that same hole. i am assuming that there is a blown gasket causing this problem. My first plan is to rebuild the engine and replace seal gaskets etc.

I assume this has been done before, and was wondering what the best resources are for me to follow/read? A tutorial would be great, but i was planning on just putting everything back like i found it.

any help would be appreciated.
thanks
~Chris

I would recommend the Haynes 2070 it's great.

( Honda CBR600F2 & F3 Fours '91 to '98 )

"Every Haynes manual is based on a complete teardown and then a step-by-step rebuild. Everything is covered – from a complete engine rebuild to changing an oil filter."

If/when you do end up rebuilding the engine, I would love to see pics of your work and details on what you did to it.
