I know the feeling man. Not with this particular bike, but with other motorized projects in the past... Power through! Once you get it running, it'll be worth it!

That's not good, and probably your problem. If you can find a cheap set of carbs, go for it, its nice to have the spare parts, but i'd look for just the parts you need first on Ebay, save some money just because other than the rubber pieces, its rare you will need anything else.

That's what I thought as well. But I also thought that with two not cracked it should at least allow a small amount of fuel to get in and at least try to start??

I would think so too, but there is no point speculating because it needs fixed to run well period. You might as well do it and see if it cures the starting issue.

Sorry to hear it's not fixed yet. I'm not exactly happy to hear about 2 broken/cracked rubber diaphragms. Not happy either for you or for me (since I've been having a very similar issue)! I haven't looked at those on my bike; I'm hoping my latest round of cleaning and plug replacement will have fixed my bike. Haven't tried it yet since I'm still messing with fairings, paint, and stickers. Good luck to you!

Well, I had to sell my bow for bike money. but oh well. I have made an offer on a set of bolt on and ride carbs on e-bay so hopefully i don't even have to mess with the carbs. We'll see what happens next...
Bret

ETA: Offer accepted and should have a new set of carbs either tomorrow or Friday. I really hope that this fixes this thing.

She's all back together and runs like a champ! Thanks again to all that chimed in.
