Unhappy Need throttle help!!!

Hello, Im in need of some throttle help. when the handlebars are turned to the left the throttle can move freely but doesn't completely return to normal idle. as i turn the handlebars to the right, it gets harder and harder to open the throttle and when i do open it, it stays stuck where it is. If someone can tell me the problem and advice that would be great! Thanks.

look at your cable routing. its probably not correct or hung up on something.

+1 on cable routing. That's the most important. Afterwards you can buy special lubes and a cable lube tool for cabling that will smooth the cable travel even more. Another thing I've seen bind up and its good to check is your bar ends. If the grip hits it, it can help it bind up.

Don't ride it until you get this corrected. Also double-check the cables themselves
for permenant kinks/bends. If you find any, the cable/s will need to be replaced.
Figure out your routing issue, then lube the new/old cables throughly and then
about every thousand miles, thereafter. Definetly get this straightened out, before
you ride it, having your bars bind up at speed is considered a BAD thing.

Good luck, Ern

Make sure your throttle tube is not binding on the handle bar. If its not round and squeezed into an oval it will want to get stuck. Also make sure your grip is not rubbing the switch cluster. I lubed my bar, a little grease between the grip and the switch, and also lubed the cables with proper routeing. I've never had a sticking throttle so what I did was preventive mantenance.

When I replaced my throttle cable, I didn't leave enough slack in it, and it was a little sticky. Dialed in a little more slack and all was well, smooth as butter.
