Question Homemade phone holder??

Well bored tonight and trying to think of a way i could mount my phone to the front of my bike without the possibilty of it falling off! It would be nice for time, seeing if i had a imporntant call or message (then pull over of course) or if i installed the usb port and i could charge it on long rides! any ideas? Thanks...

im an idiot and I will tell you never mix cell phones and riding. A call may be important at the moment, but if it diverts your attention at an inappropriately time, could be bad

Not even just that... there isn't going to be a fool proof way to keep it from falling off the bike other than putting it in a zippered pocket on your jacket.

DING DING DING We have a winner Johnny! If your phone has bluetooth, buy a helmet by Element that has bluetooth built in. Keep your phone in your pocket. Problem solved. I am hungry, who has some watermelon?

i cant have anything in my back pockets while riding for fear of losing them. i always put my wallet in my backpack or front pocket if i dont have my bag.

spicy arent you worried your phones gonna slip out of your pocket and crash onto the street while your doing 50mph?

I have a pair of jeans where it seems like my phone will fall out of my front pocket every time I ride. It's never come close, but the fear is always there. I've never had an issue with back pockets, they tend to hold objects tighter on my pants at least.

As far as the original post goes, there are those plastic clips that hold your phone on your belt. Blackberry guys use them a lot. I'm sure you could use one of those. They do hold phone's securely. The main problem I see is not the clip holding the phone, but not putting the phone all the way in the clip so it comes loose during a ride.
