Default Fork Seal Driver Question

Quick question, did the obligatory searches. I know there's a way to buy a PVC pipe to replace a seal driver when replacing seals. What size pipe should I get for F2 forks?

Also, for replacing seals, do I have to completely break down the forks or is there a way to remove the seals after draining the oil without completely pulling everything apart?

F2 forks are 41mm which is about 1.61". See if you can find 1 3/4" pvc pipe and cut it to length.

If you're going to pull the forks apart, why not do a full service while you're at it?

Also, take some panty hose and rub the fork tubes down to make sure you don't have any rock knicks. If you do, sand them down. Otherwise, you'll be doing this again very soon.

It is very likely you won't find pipe that diameter, but I use a fitting that has the right I.D. to clear the upper fork tubes, and I ground down the outside of to fit inside the lip of the fork legs.
