Fork seal driver
Ok guys ,
Will definately need to do the fork seals . Does anyone have a sugestion on how to make a fork seal driver for the CBR ?
What tools will I need andare there any other special tools i will need ?As I wouldlike toget everything together before starting the job , rather than running off half way through to get a special thingumy-jig-wotsit[:@]
Any words of wisdom from the wise and experienced ? Thanks

Unless you buy a tool... like mentioned above ....
you can... if you have not already tried it...??
(this needs 2 pieces of cheap scrap tubing .).
Get yourself a piece of plastic tubing that just fits over the forks..(as a protector)
Then you need another piece of tube (steel / brass ) to slide over that plastic , which should fit as closely as possible to the outer seal body ....this you can then tap gently without scratching the forks... Work your way around the seal evenly to seat it in properly ..
With the plastic tube cover ...you can use a longer piece of steel ect ...to bring the impact area up above the forks so that you then can tap the center and get the seal to move down nice and straight mate..
If all of this is beyond what you have or can get your hands on ... a small piece of steel or brass tube will do it ...but you need to cover the fork tubes to save them from any impact damage if you miss...
but be gentle and careful

A bit of ABS or PVC pipe from the local hardware store. Cheap, won't scar the sliders and works like the expensive honda tool. Go look what the shop is using, and I'll bet you dollars to donuts it's a piece of plumbing pipe.
