Take a heat gun and just warm them up a bit. They'll expand and break loose!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can use the F3's DAI airbox system with the F2 carbs. You just tune the system differently to compensate. You'll need to use the F3's upper fairing stay as well, but it should all work.

i finally got the carbs off, appears to be the first time that they have been removed because i had they only way i was able to get them off was with a small piece of wood and a pry bar. i was going to use the F3 carbs, but they are really gummed up and my set of F2 carbs were just cleaned and synced at the end of february.

If you pulled them off the engine, then they're not sync'd anymore.

rebuilding carbs is the easiest thing imaginable. just grad a screw driver and some carb cleaner and theyll be as good as new in an hr. or you might have to let them sit in the cleaner overnight if there that bad. i rebuilt some datsun 240z carbs with my friend yesterday and they were probably never been taken off since 1972. they were black and tar as night. after letting them sit in cleaner. they looked like new brushed aluminum.

A lot of part stores sell gallon containers of the stuff that come with dipping baskets. I take the carbs apart, and throw every last little part in there (EXCEPT THE GASKETS!!!), dirty or not.
