Chasing no start demons!
I've been having trouble getting my F2 to run. I've totally cleaned the carbs and will buy new plugs next Friday (payday).
At one point I was able to pull the plugs and get it to fire for a second or two. The plugs come out wet as Hell when I pull them after several attempts to start it again. The last time I took a MAPP gas torch to them to dry them completely. It didn't fire after that.
My first question is: Can plugs, NGK, go permanently bad after getting soaked in fuel a few times? I've heard this sort of thing can happen.
My second question is: What could cause such flooding? I'm thinking leaking float needles??
Compression is good and timing as far as I can tell. It sounded great the few times it did fire. Really got me excited to hear it! This bike's gonna be fun when I finally get it sorted.

I wouldn't think getting wet would damage the plugs. Have you verified that each plug
is firing? Pulled and grounded them so you can see the spark? Anytime you handle the
plugs, double-check the gap before you re-install them, as well. Once, you've verified
the ignition, then you're gonna have to hope IDoDirt or Meow pop in, because carbs
are still PFM (pure freaking magic) to me. I can take them apart and put them back
together and monkey-adjust them but that's my limits. ;-)
Good luck and hang in there, Ern
