just installed my APE CCT about to start it up, but realized that i didn't release the "lock nut" at the end of the CCT and used it as my "finger tightening" should i have just used the shaft of the screw to tighten finger tighten with? and then unlocked the lock nut and tightened it down? I have some crazy hand/grip strength is it safe to just go til there is tension start the bike then listen for it to rattle and turn til stopping?

It's on the right side of the back of the cylinder head, where your cam chain is.
