I'm new to this site...just bought my first cbr, a '94 600F2. When I start the bike, for about 2-5 seconds after starting there is a rattling/ chattering noise, after a few seconds the noise disappears and she sounds and runs great. I've heard the CCT is a pretty common problem, my thought is that for the first few seconds there isn't enough oil pressure for the CCT as it is hydraulic and uses engine oil. If this is the problem does the part need to be changed or can it be cleaned and adjusted?

 

Just read the sticky about CCT's and answered my question perfectly...gonna order an APE
