Ok so this might be a stupid question lol, but will the bike's electronics turn on if the RR/voltage regulator is unconnected? I unplugged it to examine the rr and it looks like it's from the stone age.

I think my RR went bad.... My bike will turn on from like 1-2 seconds and die and never turn back on. The time varies, I can sometimes leave it idling for a good 10-15 mins uninterrupted but out of nowhere, it will stall and it won't even turn back on meaning I get NOTHING, no lights, gauges, etc.. absolutely nada. Brand new battery, but the rr looks like it's from back in 1992. Are these symptoms a sign of a bad RR? I checked ALL the fuses and they are all 100% OK. I am stuck...

 

that happen to my old mans bike in the week end and all it was, was the battery leads wernt tight enuf so once we did them up she was away but ??? that was wot we did mayb its the same deal iam all new to this so hope i helped and not just made a dick of it lol good luck
