CBR Gearing

CBR Gearing
Hey, guys
My bike seems like the gearing is really low! On the freeway, I'm hitting very bad efficiency since my bike is around 7-9k rpm constantly in 6th gear. I'm having trouble keeping up with a Honda Rebel! Seriously...I can barely hear the Rebel's engine while my CBR is screaming just to cruise along side it :O Does anyone know the stock front sprocket gearing? I'm positive, it's swapped!

Yeah that's possible but it'll make the rev's even higher with a smaller front sprocket with only thirteen (opposite effect than what you are after)
How many teeth on your rear sprocket right now ?
I would start by reducing your rear sprocket first if you are looking to lower rpm's

lulz 13 in the front would be like + 9 in the rear. Think of it like a mountain bike... If your front cog is smaller and your rear cog is bigger, then you top out really quickly and your mt bike is really torquey. However, if you slam the bike in the biggest front cog and the smallest rear, you have absolutely no torque but you can just cruise with little energy

Play with that site and see what you want your rpm's to be at for a certain speed and adjust your sprockets that way.
I would recommned changing both sprockets and chain as one.
