Default Airbox

I’m currently adding new jets 42 and 145. (Getting my carbs synced/ adjusted for these upgrades)I have a k&n air filter and a Vance & Hines exhaust my air box is just missing the air inlets (7) do I really need them? Or can I go without them

Yes. The bikes are designed around "ram air". With fairings, airbox and all that is in that tight space, proper airflow into the carbs is achieved by funneling it via those tubes.
