First off New to the Forum. Hello Everyone.
like 2 weeks ago I bought a used f2 with 27000 miles.
He said it has started for a while then just stopped running after he let it sit for a couple months. and him knowing less about bikes than me I figured it was just the carbs. So I cleaned then out, changed the sparks, the oil,gas, all that sweet stuff. Started up. Ran great. Rode for about 30 miles. The next day. I go to take spin down PCH, and bam. SHe Died. STarted it up. ran then died. Im giving it a once over thorough carb cleaning again to make sure i didnt miss anything. but does anyone know what else this could be?

 

Just a guess... Tank vent plugged somehow? How does it die? Is it just like you say? BAM! ...or does it cough for a while and get angry and then die?

 

well when it died when i was riding it. Its like I hit a flat spot when I was accellin around 5K or so and I downshifted to bring it back and it just turned off. then it started. road fine then hit that flat spot and instead of downshifting I jsut gave it more wrist. and it did nothing then died with no bog sounds or anything.
