1992 CBR600 F2 Speedometer
Hey guys now that my bike is back up and running really good now I want to fix my speedometer. I bought the bike with the speedo not working. Everything but the speedometer and the odometer works on the dash, I have been judging speed by rpms which isn't that bad but I would like to not get a speeding ticket. I am just asking where I should start/what should I look at.
This forum was awesome and super helpful last time I had a problem so hopefully its not a big problem.
Thanks guys,
AK

There should be a speedometer cable connected to a small gear drive/wheel spacer unit, on the left side of your front axle - if you can locate this little unit, but there is no cable going from there, to the back of your gauge cluster, than this is your issue.
If the cable is present, verify that the screw connecting the cable to the gear drive is snug (not too snug - it screws into plastic, so tightening too much can split the plastic piece!), and verify that the other end is tightend down to the receiving end on the back of the cluster. Having the plastic off does make it easier to get to, but you can access it by sticking your hand up there, once you have eyeballed where the connection is made.
