Looking for a set of fairings for an F2
For OEM parts in your area, check out this site. Even with shipping, I’ve gotten better deals than from local breakers.

eBay’s also good source for OEM parts. Set up automated searches that’ll alert you when parts come online.

As mentioned, “plastic is plastic” and I’ve used factory OEM bodywork as well as aftermarket for track and they all hold up exactly same: one crash and they’re totalled!
In early days, I tried to repair factory fairings. It worked OK, if crash was minor. But definitely didn’t survive next impact.

With aftermarket fairings, I had similar issues with fit as OEM. Transferred OEM fairings from my commuter bike onto my track bike; didn’t fit. Tried putting OEM panels back on commuter, nope didn’t fit either. Turned out mounting brackets on both bikes had been bent ever so slightly from crashes and parking-lot tipovers that no bodywork would fit. In some cases, minor use of circular file needed to slot mounting hole slightly and that’s it. Trick is to install all fairing screws loosely just 2-3 turns by hand. This lets you tug and pull panels to line up with later holes.
Got eBay fairing set next, not bad for U$D 150,00.
Quick delivery too as it was located in Sacramento warehouse just an hour away from San Francisco. Rattlecan of purple paint and it was ready for track duty again!

Then I got into racing and needed more durable bodywork. My purple bodywork got destroyed in practice session lowside @ Thunderhill. So I got some fibreglass race bodywork. It also had 2-gallon bellypan as required by rules.

I got 2nd overall my 1st season and moved up to expert class. It survived multiple drops & crashes just fine my 1st two seasons with minor touch-ups with rattlecan and new stickers.

After season, I patched some areas that had worn thin with additional layer of fibreglass and epoxy resin. And gave it fresh paint.

Then came high-speed low-side at Sears Point Sonoma. During LONG slide on grass, I could see that I was keeping pace with riders on track behind me! Was I gonna tumble back on track and get run over?
Nah, stopped in time!
Bodywork had ground completely through in some spots.

Couple weekends over winter break with full rebuild and repaired bodywork and I’m back on track again!

Uh.. what’s point of all this? Oh yeah, “plastic is plastic”. If you really want good strong bodywork, get fibreglass!!
