Bone stock back in 2000 on my new red and white one I ran a 10.54 at 138 at KCIR in Kansas City - will never forget it. Was the fastest production bike I'd ever ridden at the time that was actually light and handled great too! Just keep practicing, you'll get much quicker and have fun while you are at it.
And don't get worried about getting beat by anyone, I've been handed my butt several times by awesome racers on much slower bikes!

That's Gateway! Too bad they closed that track
I just got my 929 running again after it sat for over a year and never got over there to run it. If I had known sooner they were closing I would have made an effort to see if I could get mine in the 10's. I like the video. Is that with the new and improved GoPro ?

Im gonna go against the popular opinion and say his launch was actually pretty good. He could have let out fully on the clutch a bit sooner, but for a liter bike, he did a good launch.
the part I think he lost the most was in the rpms and shifting. I don't think he ever got close to redline. The bike really lugged down after his first shift, which usually means he was no where near peak rpms. Also, the shifts were pretty bad. He probably took a full second to shift and get back on the gas. You can even see where the bike's nose dives and he falls forward from one of the shifts.
I'd suggest clutchless shifts and bringing the rpms to near redline.. or where ever that bike makes the most power. Do some searching and find out where the power begins to fall off, and use that rpm as the shift point.

Your bike will run slower with warmer weather. Cooler weather makes more power but decreases traction. If you can get good traction in cooler weather your bike will run quicker times.
