i have an 08 1000rr with an fmf apex exhaust under tail delete, bike wieghed in at 424.6 lbs full wet, and im 5'11'' weigh about 210lbs, my best friend has an 04 gsxr 1000 fully chromed (frame subframe swing arm triple tree rims etc..) with a power commander just lap top tune no dyno tuning and micron exhaust, hes 5'6'' and wieghs 125 pounds on a full stomach, were gunna line em up for a little competition since hes been baggin on my hondas since i bought my first bike 4 years ago which was a 2000 f4, where goin from a dig and from a 40 mph roll, who would you put your money on, both of us know what were doin on our bikes.

 

well if i remember right the 04 gsxr 1000 is the fastest 1/4 mile stock bike so i say the gsxr

 

I like the 08 cbr 1000rr. The power difference is WAY different. With a desent drive you should blow him away. His bike is way heavy (even though he is way lighter than you) Total weights should be close to the same but you have way more power. So its to easy, from a roll you should kill him. gsxr has 162hp stock. you should have 20 more hp than him. a WAY better mid range as well as a better power curve. So from a roll youll win. Why not race from a dead stop?

 

we are gunna race from a dead stop too, i said in the original thread that we were gunna go from a dig and from a 40 roll, so we'll see what happens, plus hes got all that chrome weight also so should be good

 

My buddy's 1KRR is an o4 or 05 and it's one of the fastest stock motor'd bikes I've seen at the dragstrip. It has run a 5.92 (1/8th) couple times and valvecover has never been off it. The 08's are supposed to be even faster so my money is on your RR from dead stop.

still waiting for him to get his **** out on his bike, he keeps sayin its to cold its only hittin 60 outside right now which is riding weather for me but then he said its to windy and blahblahblah, its been rainin damn near the past week, i'll get him eventually
