Default Stock 2002 CBR F4i Times?

Just wondering what a stock 2002 f4i is capable of running down the track?

alot of that stuff is not right and way off between 01 and 06 f4i....a couple hp doesnt kill that much time in the 1/4...if there gonna compare bikes then they should do it in the same conditions with the same riders...doesnt look like they did that

But in defense they also toned down the 04-06 F4i to make the RR look better.

Here's a gauge of a 'real world' pass.

I've only had one pass EVER on a motorcycle at the drag strip.

The mods are K&N intake, PCIII, Yoshimura slip on, dynojet quickshifter.

This was around 12pm on a warm day in southern california.

60' 2.3 (You can tell this was my first pass!)
1/8 ET 8.2
1/8 mph 95

1/4 ET 12.3
1/4 mph 117

First Time at the Drag Strip - 02 CBR600 F4i - 12.3 @ 117 mph - YouTube

I guess I just got lucky with my bike lol.

My '06 with a yoshi slip on, k&n filter, and -1/0 sprockets went 11.3 @ 124 on my first ever pass on the dragstrip on a motorcycle. I followed that up with an 11.1 and finally an 11.029 @ 125. An f4i is a capable machine if you know how to ride it. I launched around 8k and shifted without the clutch and away she went. Here in Charlotte NC we're 748ft above sea level, maybe thats why I was quicker than I've seen other bikes run.

My other buddy with an '03 f4i with stock gearing still ran an 11.6 @ 122.

ET's like that aren't luck... you've got skill!

As far as the mph, that is still dependent on rider skill, but is a lot more dependent on the conditions of the track.

For example, my run... I was/am still scared of the bike, so I launched real easy and was scared to got WOT right off the launch. So I'm hoping that my mph will go up a little, into the 120's at least. Hopefully I can bring the ET's down to the mid/high 11's at least!

MPH can mean very little when it comes to 1/4 ETs. My fastest ever ET was almost 5 mph slower than my highest trap speed. That is not a number you should be caring about if you're interested in drag racing (at least right away).

I haven't done my F4i yet. One of these days. Although I kind of don't want to since my drag bike is a lot faster, lol.

Got into the 10's last night! I somehow picked up another 2mph on the trap even with it being 90* and humid as hell. I need to get some leather pants and go back (got kicked out). I know this thing will go 10.8x with enough practice if my clutch holds together lol.
