Practice slipping the clutch a bit, you want plenty of traction, but only a 3" to 6" wheelie. Getting a good 60' is the best way to win a drag race, (aside from mega horsepower, of course). Bikes are one place where the rider makes ALL the difference!!!If your bike likes to wheelie, get as far forward as you can and lean up on the tank, by the time Im in 2nd gear, my chin guard is nearly touching the tank and I'm tucked behind the windscreen. i launch it at whateveri can still hold on, cause lowered and strapped these things(f4i) don't come up. PERIOD! (short of dropping the clutch at 12k)take your time on bringing your legs back to the pegs...you have plenty of time(more than you would think). and make sure to hit the 1-2 shift firm...but that may just be f4i's. that that they have a problem with that. i've been a 10.7 stock with a strap and lowered

When I launch, I lay my chest on the tank and spread my legs back as far as I can behind me. This puts as much weight as possible on the front end to keep it down. Try this as your practicing and do different RPM levels. You need to keep the motor from bogging by keeping your RPM's up and not to high to pull a wheelie any larger than a few inches. And keep laying on the tank as you pull your legs up but remember you have longer to get your legs up then you think. My first few times I was pulling me legs up to early and would pull the front up too high. Just go out in a remote location and find your RPM level that works and also how fast you can slip the clutch.
