Default Drag racing and end of chain life...bad?

Hello, I recently had my chain adjusted and it's at the last setting before replacement but still in the "good" zone. I intended to go drag racing for the 2nd time this upcoming weekend but wondered if I would have repercussions due to the chain being near the end. I'm thinking it would be fine if it's in the good zone but wanted to see what you guys thought. I do not launch hard at the track as I'm still a rookie.

Any opinions appreciated.

should be fine, but why not go ahead and order you a new chain man?

Well mostly because I don't want to fork out the couple hundred bucks for a new chain/sprocket if I can hold off a bit.

A broken chain can do major damage, Altho when the axle is that far back it does help with your 60 ft's

Ah, thanks. I never ended up going out there as my chain was toast. I've only been back to the track once, I'm done with drag racing. I suck at it.
