1991 CBR1000F drag racing New Jersey this saturday
Hello all. I cannot wait to get to the strip this weekend. it will be my first time and with my cbr1000f. I would have chosen a better bike but that is all I have now. I have been street racing for a while.
I will strap the front end, lower the front by sliding the forks through the tubes and lower the psi in the rear.
The question is, what is a good psi(I guess around 10), and how can I lower the rear.
The bike I will go with is a daily driver with 27000 miles.
I just picked up a 93 cbr1000 with no plastic cheap and will make that a full drag bike.
Any advice for this weekend?
What should I do with the parts bike?

DO NOT lower the psi UNLESS you are slipping, you are only hurting your times, especially your MPH by doing that. Pump up the front to 60-70psi, its safe. Get a front lowering strap and filler up to help keep the front end down. Remove mirrors and signals, pry out rear pad if you like.
Good luck

I did not end up racing because of the weather but the guys that did race were having fun. Not great times but fun though. I will be building up a parts bike I just got for drag racing next year
I got a 1993 CBR1000
Any ideas how to set it up for being a permanent track bike?
Thanks
